PSO talks PS4, PS Vita, Playstation and the future. Excited?

Image
Say what you like about Sony, they have had such a shitty time with launches on both the PS2 and PS3 but they have sat down with developers and asked them what they want this time round with PS4.

First party developers have actively helped in designing the Dualshock 4. Developers have had years of hell with PS2/3 development and only first party devs have really got to grips with the hardware bar a few.

This time it's different, devs are falling over themselves to heap praise on Sony's yet to be shown box of tricks. Only forum fanboys say otherwise and who cares what they say right? They don't make the games.

Exciting times are coming our way this fall as PS4 rolls out.

On the other side of the coin the PS Vita, the slow burner is due to explode with very exciting things on the horizon with PS4 interaction and remote play for every game just the start, and not via laggy firmware cracks as we've seen before, but using clever wireless technologies to have games running …

AMD's Chief Graphics Product Architect chooses the PS4 as best console...

Image
....even though they are 'chipping' the Next-box, Ouch!

In an interview with O.Canada, AMD's chief graphics product architect, John Gustafson said the "PlayStation 4 blew him away."

He also said "it looks like they did an extremely good job of the engineering" and "the CPU and the GPU are on the same chip, which solves a lot of the problems."

With that being said, Gustafson feels the PS4 console will rank best against all others, including the Xbox 720. He added that he was, "conscious about being too positive about it because of course we have other partners that are competing."

He also thinks the PS4 ranks best on everything outside of gaming as well since it is very close to a high-end PC.

Invizimals PS Vita/PS3 Cross-play, co-op play and multiplayer details!

Image
Sony have shown a video showing the fantastic looking Invizimals on PS Vita and PS3.

The Alliance is in development at Barcelona, Spain-based studio Novarama Technology, who was behind the original Invizimals Trilogy on PSP.

"It's an all-new augmented reality adventure where hunters worldwide will, for the first time, unleash the power of PS Vita and use it to hunt, battle and collect," according to producer Mitsuo Hirakawa of Sony Europe's XDev Studios.

He states, "both games will also feature multiplayer mechanics that link to each other. Players of Invizimals: The Alliance will be able to link up with players of Invizimals: The Lost Kingdom on PS3 through cross-platform play, staging frantic four-player battles or sending and receiving bonus game items through co-op play."
